Clarify periodic visits versus an on-site post
Ask whether the proposed service involves periodic visits or personnel remaining on site during agreed coverage hours. Have the company explain its coverage limitations, response arrangements, and exclusions. Do not assume a patrol proposal includes immediate emergency response.

Compare the details of each proposal
- Frequency: How many visits are included, and how are missed or additional visits handled?
- Scope: Does each visit involve a drive-through, foot patrol, specific checks, or a combination?
- Documentation: What timestamps, completed-check records, and incident reports does the client receive?
- Escalation: Who is contacted when a problem is found, and what service is excluded?
- Coverage area: Does the company currently serve the property’s location and any additional sites?
- Price: What minimum commitment, extra-visit charges, cancellation terms, and renewal provisions apply?
Check credentials and request a written proposal
Use the official DPSST Entity License Search and direct licensing questions to DPSST. Ask the company about current personnel credentials, insurance documentation, and its written scope of service. An OSG directory entry or introduction is not a substitute for these checks.
Request pricing directly from the company for the actual property and scope. Compare proposals using the same visit frequency, duties, reporting, and contract period. OSG does not issue or negotiate patrol prices or assess the property.

Discuss necessary operational details securely with your chosen company. Do not send door codes, passwords, precise unstaffed periods, or detailed vulnerabilities to OSG.
