Why I Built Oregon Security Guide
I created Oregon Security Guide after seeing how difficult it can be to find clear, practical information about entering and advancing in Oregon’s private-security field. Licensing instructions, training options, job requirements, wages, and career advice are often scattered across many different sources.
I am an Oregon DPSST-certified unarmed security professional with experience in healthcare security and other public-facing safety roles. That work has reinforced the importance of communication, observation, access control, de-escalation, emergency response, sound judgment, and clear report writing.
