Construction-site services to discuss with a company
Ask about overnight or weekend coverage, gate and access-control duties, periodic site patrols, opening and closing checks, and incident reporting. Confirm what the company actually offers, whether its personnel have relevant site experience, and how its proposal accounts for changing project conditions.
Clarify dedicated coverage versus periodic patrols
Ask whether the proposal places personnel at the site during agreed hours or provides periodic visits. Have the company explain its proposed coverage and limitations. OSG does not assess the site, recommend staffing levels, or determine how many guards a project needs.

Questions for a construction-security company
- Site coordination: Who communicates with the superintendent or project manager, and how are assignment changes documented?
- Reporting: How are completed patrols, incidents, and client notifications recorded?
- Supervision: Who supports personnel after hours, and how are uncovered shifts handled?
- Changing scope: What happens when work hours, site boundaries, entrances, or project phases change?
- Contract: What minimum hours, holiday or overtime charges, cancellation conditions, and insurance requirements apply?
Check credentials before arranging services
Use the official DPSST Entity License Search and direct licensing questions to DPSST. Ask the company about current personnel credentials and insurance documentation. An OSG directory entry or introduction is not a substitute for these checks.
Request a written proposal directly
Ask the company to identify included hours and duties, extra charges, and the process for extending or ending temporary coverage. Request its pricing for the actual project. OSG does not quote or negotiate security-service prices or enter into the service contract.
Share necessary operational details securely with your chosen company. Do not send gate codes, passwords, equipment inventories, detailed vulnerabilities, or sensitive incident information to OSG.
