- Base pay: $24.60–$35.17 per hour
- Schedule: Days; 40 hours/week; 10-hour shifts; variable workdays including weekends and holidays.
- Union status: Non-union, as stated by Legacy
- Role / licensing: Unarmed DPSST certification required.

What you’ll do
- Help protect patients, employees, visitors and hospital property.
- Provide directions and courteous assistance, monitor assigned areas and document incidents.
- Respond to safety concerns and safeguard buildings, equipment and other assets.
Qualifications and licensing
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association healthcare-provider BLS within 14 days of placement.
- DPSST unarmed temporary or full certification within 14 days; full certification within 120 days.
- Complete employer de-escalation training within 120 days; communicate clearly and write accurate reports.
- Two years of qualifying security, corrections, military, first-responder or behavioral-health/ER experience, or one year as a Legacy Associate Security Officer.
- Two years of substantial public-contact and customer-service experience.
- Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record; complete Legacy’s physical-control training.
Pay and benefits
- Legacy links to its employee benefits program; coverage depends on position and eligibility.
