- Hospital: Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center
- Location: Tualatin, Oregon
- Base pay: $20.24–$28.93 per hour
- Schedule: On-call; no guaranteed weekly hours; variable 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays. Minimum availability required.
- Union status: Non-union, as stated by Legacy
- Role / licensing: Unarmed DPSST certification required.

What you’ll do
- Help protect patients, employees, visitors and hospital property.
- Provide directions and courteous assistance, monitor assigned areas and document incidents.
- Staff observation or security-desk assignments and support enhanced screening with metal detectors and X-ray equipment when assigned.
- This associate role does not include making arrests or restraining patients.
Qualifications and licensing
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association healthcare-provider BLS within 14 days of placement.
- DPSST unarmed temporary or full certification within 14 days; full certification within 120 days.
- Complete employer de-escalation training within 120 days; communicate clearly and write accurate reports.
- Related security or emergency-response experience and customer-service experience are preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are preferred.
Pay and benefits
- Legacy links to its employee benefits program; coverage depends on position and eligibility.
Listed differentials: evenings $2.50/hour, nights $4.30/hour and weekends $3/hour. A 10% on-call differential is also listed; confirm eligibility and how differentials apply.
