What you’ll do
- Patrol hospital buildings and grounds on foot and in vehicles and monitor access and surveillance systems.
- Assist patients and visitors with directions and information.
- Respond to emergency codes and unsafe or combative behavior using de-escalation and approved procedures.
Qualifications and licensing
- High school diploma or GED and an Oregon driver’s license.
- Unarmed security certification, American Heart Association BLS and first-aid certification within 30 days.
- Related college coursework and one year in law enforcement or security are preferred; healthcare security experience is preferred.
