What you’ll do

• Help protect patients, employees, visitors and hospital property.
• Provide directions and courteous assistance, monitor assigned areas and document incidents.
• Staff observation or security-desk assignments and support enhanced screening with metal detectors and X-ray equipment when assigned.
• This associate role does not include making arrests or restraining patients.

Qualifications and licensing

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association healthcare-provider BLS within 14 days of placement.
• DPSST unarmed temporary or full certification within 14 days; full certification within 120 days.
• Complete employer de-escalation training within 120 days; communicate clearly and write accurate reports.
• Related security or emergency-response experience and customer-service experience are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are preferred.

Pay and benefits
