Security Specialist – Full Time – SIS – Hillsboro, OR

Job Description

Security Industry Specialists (SIS) is seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Specialist to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and client property. Working under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional security services while responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and supporting daily site operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees and guests.
• Perform regular foot patrols throughout the assigned property.
• Conduct security escorts when requested.
• Respond quickly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Review security cameras and assist with investigations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency responders.
• Complete detailed incident reports and required documentation.
• Follow all client policies, SIS procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Represent Security Industry Specialists with professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Oregon DPSST Security Professional certification (Guard Card) and any additional client-required certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to meet uniform and grooming standards.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while performing patrol duties.
