Security Officer – Hillsboro Medical Center (Hillsboro, OR)

Hillsboro Medical Center is hiring Security Officers to support a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Officers perform patrols, respond to incidents, assist clinical teams, and help maintain order throughout the hospital campus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible security presence throughout hospital buildings and grounds
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols
• Respond to disturbances, safety concerns, and emergency situations
• Assist clinical staff with patient-related safety needs
• Monitor access points and enforce hospital policies
• Document incidents and complete accurate reports
• Offer customer service to patients, visitors, and employees

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Ability to obtain or maintain Oregon DPSST certification
• Strong communication and de‑escalation skills
• Ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly during emergencies
• Prior security or healthcare experience preferred

Schedule & Compensation:
