OHSU is hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher to support emergency communications, radio traffic, alarm monitoring, and coordination of campus safety operations. Dispatchers work in a fast‑paced environment handling calls for service, monitoring security systems, and supporting sworn and non‑sworn public safety personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non‑emergency calls
- Dispatch officers and coordinate field response
- Monitor alarms, access control, and CCTV systems
- Maintain detailed logs and incident records
- Communicate with police, fire, and medical responders
- Support campus safety operations and emergency procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Experience in dispatch, security, or public safety preferred
- Ability to pass background screening
Compensation
OHSU dispatch roles typically range $24–$32/hr depending on experience and union scale.
