OHSU is hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher to support emergency communications, radio traffic, alarm monitoring, and coordination of campus safety operations. Dispatchers work in a fast‑paced environment handling calls for service, monitoring security systems, and supporting sworn and non‑sworn public safety personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer emergency and non‑emergency calls
  • Dispatch officers and coordinate field response
  • Monitor alarms, access control, and CCTV systems
  • Maintain detailed logs and incident records
  • Communicate with police, fire, and medical responders
  • Support campus safety operations and emergency procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Experience in dispatch, security, or public safety preferred
  • Ability to pass background screening

Compensation

OHSU dispatch roles typically range $24–$32/hr depending on experience and union scale.
